can excessive sweating contribute to heat exhaustion

I umpire baseball in the heat of Florida summers. I sweat much more than normal on my head. Will this bring on heat exhaustion.

Hi there,

It certainly can contribute, combined with other factors. Replenish your fluids as much as possible, with gatorade, or other drinks containing electrolytes. Sweating is considered "insensible" fluid loss, versus fluid loss from health issues like viruses that cause vomiting and diarrhea leading to dehydration.
