Hi Sandy,
My Dad had terrible side effects from taking a statin drug. Crestor is a statin drug. If your doctor prescribed it because you have high cholesterol, your cholesterol will rise again if you stop.
But cholesterol is essential in the body and the latest research seems to indicate that inflammation is the culprit in heart disease, not cholesterol There are other things you can do to lower your cholesterol and prevent heart disease.
Here is a link to more information about statins in another part of Wellsphere:

It would be a good idea to talk with your doctor or another knowledgeable health care provider if you want to stop taking Crestor.
Hope this helps,
CK Wilde
