Casting aspersions on Casting Words

Posted Jan 15 2009 7:09pm

I use Casting Words to transcribe my podcasts. The price is reasonable and the quality of the work is usually very good to excellent. Customer service has been spotty, though. Emails go days or weeks without being answered.

Lately it’s gotten worse. My latest two podcasts (interviews with Per Lofberg and Andy Hurd ) have been deleted from the transcription queue after initially appearing there. In addition, I’ve received messages about not having enough money in my account, even though I’ve recently topped it off.

My emails (and now phone calls) to Casting Words have gone unanswered for weeks now.

The only message I’ve received is an email that prices are going up 50 percent this coming Monday.

Casting Words, get your act together!
