Could norvasc have caused someone to have a fatty liver and thereby a non-viral hepatitis?

My 68 year old mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and when doing all the tests prior to surgery they found that she also had hepatitis.  The tests found that it wasn't caused by a virus so we are looking into drug interactions.  She takes Norvasc for high blood pressure and the labeling and information I have found says that the doctor should monitor the liver in case there are negative effects but I haven't found anything saying what those effects could be.  What do you think?
