Expert Help

Posted by Billy B. Patient Expert

Today I saw someone using an exercise machine poorly. I was in an altruistic mood, so I explained to him that he could get more out of the exercise and avoid injury if he changed his form a little. He told me he was a doctor and knew a little about biomechanics, but the advice I gave him made sense. He knew which muscle group he wanted to work, but the machine he was using wasn't meant for that muscle group. We can't all specialize in everything. When it comes to working out with weights, it's a good idea to get advice from a professional. I have been weight training for years, and it wasn't until I became a personal trainer and started sharing my experience with other people that I realized how important a little knowledge and inspiration can be.
