Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness in the U.S. population. There are approximately two million cases of glaucoma in the United States. Only half may be diagnosed due to the fact that there are no distinct symptoms other than the slow progression of vision impairment. Chronic open-angle glaucoma is the most common type, accounting for 60-70 percent of cases and is the most likely form to respond to nutritional supplements.
