hi i was wondering if contact irritation and rubbing an eye could cause it to bulge a little bit?

I wear contacts and yesterday my left contact was bother me and so i was rubbing my eye quite a bit through out the day. last night when i went to take out my contacts i noticed my left eye bulging out a bit. It's not very significant and i can only really notice it when i tough my eye and i can't the white of my eye above or below my iris
