I have been seeking a teacher for awhile now. It was unconscious until a few months ago, when I consciously realized that I need a mentor in my life. I need some guidance, some advice as to where to invest my energy and how to direct myself. What to take on and what to put aside. I feel boxed into my own ideas, trapped in convention and words rather than thought, feelings and action. While sometimes I feel confident and directed, other times I feel swamped, unsure and empty of the type of conscious substance that will propel me into the right action.
But it can't just be any teacher; it has to be someone who is willing to know me. Not just superficially, but rather to get a sense of where my heart is at. There are too many 'teachers' that don't really understand their students and that's not what I'm seeking.
It is times like these that I realize how young I still am.
