Have you heard of menstruation bringing on symptoms of rhabdomyolisis or episodes related to metabolic myopathies?

Have severe, bilateral cramps which travel from calves to thighs and quads. All or one area cramp and the cramps last for many days rendering it difficult to walk. I have been hospitalized for Rhabdo from the cramps (CPK of 3000 and then years later CPK of 10,000). Have a muscle biopsy scheduled. My neurologist is leaning toward a metabolic myopathy. Last few months cramps coincide with my period.
