Korean Flower of Spring: Dandelion

Posted Oct 01 2008 9:10pm
In Korea, the dandelion is considered to be a flower, not a weed. It's called a kkot, flower, and this mindalae kkot symbolizes loyalty. Plus it's edible--tastes great in kimchi and you can make wine out of it. What's not to like? Think about it, before you haul out your vat of toxic Roundup dandelion-o-cide. It's all in the eye of the beholder.
