
Ingredients
1 kg methi ( fenugreek ) leaves
1 cup chanadal
5-6 green chillies
1’’ piece ginger
Salt to taste
½ cup water
1 tablespoon wheat flour
3 green chillies for seasoning ( slit lengthwise )
1 ½ tablespoon desi ghee ( or butter )
Method
Pick , clean and wash methi leaves and pressure cook with green chillies , ginger , salt and ½ cup of water.
Pressure cook for 10 minutes on high flame and then low flame for 20 minutes. Allow to cool.
Open pressure cooker , grind methi leaves , then add chanadal into it.
Pressure cook it till 2 whistles. Allow to cool for some time.
Open cooker , add wheat flour. Mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes ( do not cover now ). ( The method is same as for sarsonkasaag ).
In a frying pan , heat desi ghee, add green chillies. When they change colour pour it over methisaag.
Serve hot with parathas. Delicious methi and chanasaag is redy now !!!
