Nutritional diet for exam

Posted Feb 21 2009 10:12pm

Say ‘’ Yes ‘’ to fibre – rich foods and say ‘’ No’’ to coffee , tea and junk foods.

Special exam diet

Breakfast

Breakfast is called ‘’ brain food ‘’ and a good meal in the morning is proven to boost cognitive power.

A whole grain cereal – like Oats , on waking up +a health drink, with milk ( Horlicks / Boost / Bournvita.. )+ A glass of fresh fruit juice + 5 to 8 almonds + one slice whole wheat toast +1 egg.

Lunch

Two soy and wheat chapattis + One cup of sprouts + One cup of curd + Vegetables + Fruit salad

Tea time

Avoid coffee / tea. Coffee and tea are diuretics, and will deprive the body of water and important micro nutrients. Caffeine is only a temporary stimulant , and too much of it will lead to irritability to concentrate. So another option for tea / coffee is a glass of health drink with milk + 5- 8 almonds + 8 – 10 black raisins.

Dinner

Brown rice / two soy and wheat chapattis + dal / fish + vegetables + salad.

All the best !!!
