
Sausage shashlik with mustard
(Bits of sausage with marinated vegetables grilled on a skewer )
Serves -4
Time required : 30 minutes plus marinating time
Ingredients
12 chicken sausages
2 ( 200 g ) tomatoes
2 red or yellow or green capsicums
Salt and pepper to taste
40 ml Worcestershire sauce
25 ml chilli sauce
50 g butter
3 ( 150 g ) onions
2 teaspoon ( 10 g ) garlic paste
3 teaspoon ( 15 ml ) mustard paste
Method
Cut all vegetables into large, even sized cubes. Cut sausages into 1.5 cm long pieces. Arrange alternate pieces of sausages and vegetables on greased skewers. Marinate the vegetables with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and chilli sauce .
Grill on a hot plate. Saute onion and garlic in butter. Add mustard paste, put the skewers in this pan. Stir for a while and remove. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
