This is the "World's Greatest Digital Photography Teacher", better known as Kate Izor, or Kate the Great!
She taught my class (a digital crash course) at The Maine Photographic Workshops last week and I learned a lot thanks to Kate. And it was FUN.
I was inspired by her enthusiasm (she LOVES, and I mean LOVES photography and her camera!), her ability to articulate such a technical, hands on subject in a fun and entertaining manner with the focus of a master (no jumping around or getting off on tangents for Kate). This girl knows her stuff! She was pleasant and patient to boot. She could teach third graders, middle-agers, or your grandmother and they would love and understand her.
This girl is going places, but hopefully will hang out here in Maine for awhile as she is the greatest addition to the talented pool of people teaching at the MPH.
Thanks to Kate I was out in Portland's "Old Port" today practicing my depth of field, by using my aperture, shutter speed and ISO!
Thanks Kate. Love, Meg
