ER Fat Burn Update

Posted Mar 24 2009 3:19pm
ER Fat Burn I wanted to give y'all a quick update.

The ER Fat Burn is going great! I lost 4 pounds my first week which is encouraging.

I haven't had an appetite the last couple of days so I've been making myself eat just to keep my metabolism up. Ketosis causes appetite suppression so I'm sure that's what is going on.

More good news: I haven't had a Coke in 8 days! I've been drinking a whole lot of water and occasionally I have a glass of iced tea (sweetened with the herb Stevia). I feel fantastic!

I haven't found a local source for grass-fed meat, pastured chickens or eggs from pastured chickens but I did find a few farms in Arkansas that had information on their websites. I contacted one farm in particular and was told that in the coming weeks they will be delivering to Conway twice a week. I was excited to hear that. This particular farm has pastured chickens and eggs. We have a farmer's market in town so when it opens I'm sure I will find a source for everything I need. According to Dr. Heidi, I will see much better results when I start eating grass-fed meats, pastured chickens and eggs from pastured chickens.

My first phone call with Dr. Heidi last Tuesday was basically a 'getting to know you' call and her asking me if I had any questions about the plan etc. One question I had for her was whether or not it was necessary for me to drink raw milk, as my husband and I are not milk drinkers. She told me it was not necessary but that I shouldn't make the kefir (on the ER plan) unless the milk is raw.

One of the nice things about the ER Fat Burn plan is that you can pick and choose what foods and drinks you want to consume. For example, I don't have to drink kefir or Kombucha if I don't want to. There are many foods and drinks to choose from so it suits everyone's individual tastes.

Saturday's weekly group call is my favorite thing about the plan so far. I enjoy listening to other people give their input on what is working for them or where they had problems etc. It's very helpful. And of course, I learn so much from listening to Dr. Heidi as well. On every call, she gives us more information to help us along our way.

Last Saturday's group call, Dr. Heidi unveiled several Superfoods that would help us lose weight more effectively. One of those Superfoods is to take a Pop A Purple every morning and a Pop A Green every night before going to bed. The PopsTM have a wide variety of antioxidants, digestive enzymes, probiotics and prebiotics, and metabolic enhancers. The benefits: whole food multi, help with digestion, elimination, and cardiovascular function. Pop A Green helps relax the nervous system as well as to detoxify the cells. Pop A Purple provides energy and has extra metabolic enhancers.

My husband, Paul, is doing the ER Fat Burn plan with me. He has lost 3 pounds already! We also have been riding bikes every day the weather allows.

It helps that we booked our airfare to go to North Carolina this summer so we both want to get ready for the beach! :)

Thanks for reading!

Laura
