If you (or your kids) have a secret love for Cap'n Crunch cereal, then listen up! Kashi has produced a brilliant spin-off of this childhood favorite dubbedKashi Honey Sunshine. The many companies continually putting a healthy twist on our fattening/ artificial favorites fill me with excitement for what the future holds in terms of food and lifestyles.
To start, the cereal pieces are the same size as Cap'n Crunch. So is the flavor but the Kashi cereal has less of an artificial, sugar loaded mouth feel (probably because Kashi uses half the sugar that Cap'n Crunch does). Each spoonful (or handful) leaves your taste buds delighted from the slightly sweet, crunchy and somewhat airy bite sized pieces, which deliver a pleasant hint of honey. Kashi describes their new invention best, as "Honey-kissed Seven Whole Grain Cereal Pillows."
