My Buttocks are Dragon

Posted Jun 23 2009 6:53pm
Unlike the folks who had their children in their teens and twenties, Best Half and I got a late start, and had our children in our mid-to-late-thirties. 99% of the time, I have absolutely no regrets about having children so late in life. Yesterday might have been the 1%.

We spent Black Friday rebelling against pop culture, so instead of frenzied fight-the-rabid-mobs shopping, we went to Six Flags Magic Mountain, which is, plainly, a roller coaster park. I have ridden floorless coasters(Silver Bullet), and platform coasters (Gryphon), but I have never ridden a monster likeTatsu.

My first clue that I had done something totally stupid was when the "hold the sucker in tightly" apparatus locked down, my feet were locked in place, too. Then, to my great delight, all the seats tilted forward, and I was looking straight down at the ground. As we moved out of the station and up into space for the first drop, I knew that I was nauseous toast.

This is a premier video of the one that mercifully (Thank you, God) broke down, so we didn't get to ride it:

Maybe I should've gone shopping.
