No Junk Food information on Eat Smart Age Smart

Eat Smart Age Smart

Every day I receive emails from readers who say how much they love Eat Smart Age Smart. A lot of people visiting my site always talk about how much passion and heart is behind each post. I cannot tell you how passionate I am about good food and I’m happy to share my personal experiences with my readers!

A number of readers have commented on how long and detailed all my posts are – they appreciate all the information but many have said how surprised they are that I’d share that much of it.

Well, I can assure you that since I abstain from junk food in my diet, I also abstain from junk food in my information.

I hate those sites that give you 3 lines about why you should eat this superfood or that superfood. That simply sets me off, because it does not provide a compelling reason for people to make changes in their lives and it feeds innocent people the illusion that your health and your diet is a two-minutes-a-day thing!

Health and diet is a commitment. It’s a lifestyle change and it means that you’ll have to get educated and you’ll have to find your own reason why you want to make better food choices.

I personally think that if more people approached health from the standpoint of wanting to have the fittest body possible, it would make a huge different in all aspects of their lives. Weight issues such as obesity would no longer be an issue because people would have a better understanding of their bodies and not be inclined to eat certain foods.

I think that readers to those two-minutes-a-day sites end up reading those same sites for years without actually making any changes in the way they live.

I’d be sad — actually, I’d consider it a personal failure — if I were not able to provide the kind of information that would motivate more and more of my readers to abandon that junk food and adopt a better diet or drop that remote control and become more active.

I think the fundamental reason why so many people get it wrong and spend their entire life struggling with their weight is because of an overload of “junk food information” and a shortage of “good quality information” that will empower them.

Everything about Eat Smart Age Smart is based on my experience. I’ve been the same dress size for years and the last time I followed a diet (i.e. I stopped eating to fit into my prom dress and impress a guy), I was a teenager.

I spent all of my 20s and 30s making good food choices and I do not deprive myself of foods that I enjoy.

Read about my top 10 foods and you’ll see that I crave rapini as much I do full-fat cheese from France and if I’m in the mood for some fries … I will indulge. I just make sure to keep my cheat foods to 10 per cent of my weekly intake and make fitness a key part of my lifestyle.

If you are looking for quick diet tips to lose 10 pounds by the end of the week, you’re on the wrong site. But if you are looking for information that will provide you with a way of aging well and maintaining a strong and fit body … then you’ve landed in the right place!

If you like the information I provide and feel my personal journey helps or inspires you, please drop me a quick email … I’d love to hear from you!
