Quaker Simple Harvest Apples and Cinnamon

Quaker Natural Harvest Apples and Cinnamon While shopping for snacks for my project team, I wanted to get granola bars. They're something that a lot of people like that can be nutritious. We can leave them in the conference room without worrying about them going bad, and they're also easy to pocket while traveling.

At first, I gravitated toward some of the Fiber One Bars, but with me being the only team member who's really health conscious, I didn't want the familiar tauting about my "fiberific" foods from my coworkers. I looked for something that was fairly healthy, but would still be tasty and not turn off my team, as well as look fairly mainstream. In the end, I opted for Quaker Simple Harvest Apples & Cinnamon Granola Bars.

When you first unwrap the bar, there is a nice cinnamon aroma that encourages you to eat up. Obliging, I found that the bar had a nice pie-like flavor, with just a hint of the apples and cranberries mentioned on the box. However, there was an odd aftertaste (which grew on me the more bites I had), and the bar made me quite thirsty. Don't eat this without water! The texture was fairly standard for a granola bar, though a bit more dry than the Quaker Chewy Bars. It's a pretty solid bar, though it's certainly possible to break it into chunks if you prefer to eat it that way.
