Hello! Last night The internet at my apartment malfunctioned. Mark has finagled something that is currently working, but it was rough there for awhile.
Good news for me and my foot: I have no school today or tomorrow. I went to school yesterday, and I have to say that I am glad I don’t have to navigate that today. I am also hoping to get my boot today. It’s really hard to use crutches at school and get around, so I a hoping that will help.
In case you were wondering, this is what my foot looks like.
Moving on, my spirits are still high, but I encountered a serious annoyance: the bathroom. I’ve been drinking so much that I have to use the bathroom all the time. Eventually, I just started crawling to the bathroom and felt ridiculous. I got really frustrated that I couldn’t walk and started getting down, so I decided to focus on all the things I can do. I laid on the floor and did a bunch of arm exercises with my hand weights and sit ups. My arms are really sore!
Other than that I’ve been okay and I thought of one reason why it’s “good” that this happened right now. The Foodbuzz Festival is this week and of course, I wanted to go. I never got a ticket and never got sponsored, so I couldn’t go. I would have have been really bummed seeing everyone get to go this weekend, but now I know I couldn’t have gone anyway! See that?
Also, Mark has still been working overnight! For the last three days he’s worked pretty much around the clock. Very unfortunate for both me and him. Luckily, last night he took a little dinner break and we went to Elevation Burger. I got the Veggie Burger #2 on a Lettuce Bun and we shared some fries.
I just want to say I LOVED the lettuce bun!!! It was cold and crisp so it made a nice contrast to the burger.
Messier than a bread bun, but totally worth it. I could really taste the burger and all of the great toppings I get: tomato, ketchup, pickles and caramelized onions. I think I am only getting the burger there like this from now on!
Something else that’s been keeping me entertained are these adorable bot drinks.
Aren’t the little guys on the bottle cute? They are actually enhanced water made locally in New Jersey. I was pleasantly surprised by the berry flavor that I had today. It was not too too sweet and it didn’t have any fake artificial taste. Stay tuned, there will be a giveaway soon!
