I decided today that it’s going to be very important to my mental and physical health to wear real pants (not the sweat or yoga variety) every day while my foot is broken. I instantly feel more productive, and this will help me make sure my pants are still fitting throughout this journey.
I met with my doctor tonight and picked up this fancy footwear.

It’s official name is the Aircast Short Pneumatic Walker. He tried to give me the tall one that I am convinced would have gone past my knee, but I showed him I would be a careful walker and he gave me this one instead. Because I am able to stand up and walk with a straight and flat foot he gave me this boot to help me walk with a straight stride. I can pump it up or deflate it to my desired support level. I can use the boot or the crutches when I want. It’s up to me.

He says I am healing nicely and I have another appointment in two weeks. He said I could start doing non-weight bearing activities (think stationary bike) sooner than that. He kind of left it up to my discretion. He told me not to push it, and I am so scared that I will do something really horrible to myself that I will not push it at all.
When I came home I was really hungry, so I had a dinner to match the cold rain that was coming down.
I chose the Black Bean Dr. McDougall’s Right Foods Ready-to-Serve Soups, that I received in the mail.

I added the cheese.

And salad for veggies.
And now I am bored, bored, bored and want to bake something!
