Have been bad and drinking soda and eating chocolate lately. But I am looking forward to the start of "Mindfulness Based Stress Management" which is an 8 week class that I signed up for and which starts on Monday. :)
Is your soda drinking and chocolate eating related to stress? That's interesting and it's good that you know what triggers your "bad" eating. I mostly eat junk because I'm bored or hungry for nothing else. When I'm stressed, I like to freak out instead! Honestly though, I commend anyone who has assessed their own behaviour and knows what it is that triggers habits such as eating junk.
Sometimes it is boredom, but for the most part I have bad (or weird) eating habits when I am stressed, not getting enough sleep, or not managing my pain well. These three things are often interconnected for me and one of them can trigger the other two. I also will do weird things where I will take a bite of something and decide I don't want it, so take a bite of something else. I can run through a bunch of different things and not really find anything that is tasting good/satisfying me. At that point, coca cola is often my fall back. Not a good thing to do, but fortunately it doesn't happen all the time. I even had a phase where I didn't like drinking coke (first time in 45 years that happened).
