Sugar Struggles

Yikes. I can't remember if I posted about my intent to give up sugar before. I believe I did and was being incredibly optimistic and saying it's easy, etc. etc. But I was so wrong! It's been about a month and I fell off the no-sugar wagon. Very upsetting. It happened because I was on vacation and my argument was, Hey, I'm on vacation. However, that argument turned into ice-cream every day and a dessert every meal out. Now that I'm no longer on vacation, it's much much much harder to get back on that wagon and give it up - but I am going to keep trying.
The goal is to eliminate processed sugar from my diet. There are other natural sugars that don't go into your bloodstream as fast (ie. honey) so your sugar levels don't spike and cause that crash (or desire to eat everything in sight to make up for it.)
Is anyone else struggling with this? Any suggestions? So far my plan is to wean myself off - tons of fresh fruit and one processed sugar option a day, then every other day, then every three days. But if I ever said it was easy, I TAKE IT BACK!!!
