The Golden Carrot Award

OK, so I'm going to write about the food at the Maine Photographic Workshops, where I spent last week taking a digital crash course, but ... I didn't take any photos of the food!

"Why is that," I wondered? Then I realized that I was too busy hurrying to be in front of the line! That's how delicious it was. The great thing for me is that they offered a vegan option at every meal, had LOTS of fresh vegetables and even brown rice (my favorite).

So, I have nominated them for PCRM's Golden Carrot Award. The Physician's Committee for Responsible Medicine established the awards in 2004 to recognize food service professionals doing an exceptional job of improving the healthfulness of school lunches.

The Workshops' executive chef, Brad Purdy, does a fantastic job. Thanks for all the great food! I cleaned my plate at every meal. Meg
