Do you have a time at night when you decide that there will be no more eating? How many hours before bedtime? Do you find that it is a way to loose weight?
I Don't Know Where I Got the Idea. Yes, I have a cut off time -- 7:00PM -- because I am usually in bed around 10 or 11. I like sleeping when I am not digesting my food. I love waking up on an empty stomach -- it's rejuvenating. I have heard that it's a way to monitor your weight. I believe, Oprah talked about it on one of her shows years ago when she first started losing weight, running marathons and all that. I believe Oprah's trainer said stop eating 3 hours before you go to bed. I could have also heard it from Carol Burnett. Wherever I got the idea, it works for me.
Four hours before I sleep. Four hours before bedtime is when my cut-off time for eating substantial meals is. I do find this helps me feel lighter, though I haven't verified whether or not it helps me lose weight. It does aid in proper digestion and ensures you don't suffer from heartburn and other digestive disorders, which I imagine affect things like regularity and water retention--which obviously affect weight, in turn!
