I don't go to the store more than usual but I do throw more food out than usual. The produce I buy is not ONLY organic; it's mostly organic. We go through the produce pretty quickly. Any meat we don't eat in a timely manner, I throw into the freezer.
Organic bread, on the other hand, goes bad quickly at room temperature. Seeing green mold on bread gives me the deepest sense of gratitude because once I found a package of "conventional" hot dog buns that had been lost in the pantry for months. Those buns were as soft and clear of mold as the day I bought them. That scared me!
Good Morning America did a segment on "How to Save on Organic Food" - here is the link to the website: http://blogs.abcnews.com/gma/2008/03/want-to-save-on.html Take a look at it before it's not avalable on-line anymore.

How often do you go to the grocery store? My goal is to eat only organic produce and naturally raised meats, but I seem to need shop more often - 3 times per week instead of 1 time. Is this true for you also?
