Hello everybody,

This is my first post on Wellsphere and so I'd like to begin by introducing myself. I'm Jane M. Martin and I'm a respiratory therapist with a passion for helping people with lung disease, particularly COPD. I've worked as a respiratory therapist for about 28 years now (I can hardly believe its been that long!).

I kind of fell into this profession at first, simply because I needed a job after college and teaching positions in my area were just not to be found. Well, things have a way of working out and as I worked in respiratory care I found that lung patients were in desperate need of education and support. I always loved to write and so I combined what I knew to teach, write, and develop programs to help people with COPD and asthma.

I'm excited to be a part of Wellsphere and I look forward to sharing posts here, as well as inviting you to visit my website <http://www.breathingbetterlivingwell.com>which has lots of information as well as a wonderful friendly and accepting community of people who know what its like to live day by day -- and live well -- with chronic lung disease. Please also visit my blog on at <healthcentral.com/stop-smoking>

That's about all for now. I hope to see you here again soon!

Breathe Well today,

Jane.
