I've been on a low carb diet for about two months - 20g of carbs or so per day, after diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. Blood sugar levels fine, weight loss on track, BUT - spent two days in cardiac ICU this week with my first occurrence of atrial fibrillation in my life. Cardiologist, nurses, etc. say no connection. I'm not so sure. Any thoughts about the chance of a long-term low carb diet causing heart arrythmia?
Congratulations Jimmy. What a wonderful success story you have to share. Keep spreading the good word about high quality nutritional intake coupled with physical activity so many more of us can enjoy life.
