Dad is doing pretty well today.  His foot is in a lot of pain.  Regrettably, the medical community at Duke Medical won't return phone messages or faxes.  No one has looked at dad's foot since January and pins are coming out.  The pins are adhering back into another part of his skin.  Yes, dad is doing well.  But I am a bit discouraged and sad.  All a aprt of care-giving.
