She’s everything you dream about…
but don’t fall in love…
She’s a beauty

There’s nothing special about this Rockpool Kayak. Well, no that’s not right. It’s special to Andrew Green who just recently got his new baby, and certainly is special in that it’s simply another beautiful Alaw Bach. Oh, and what makes it really special is it’s one of the first (I’m told) Rockpool Kayaks made here in the states by Rockpool North America.

Beautiful Boat Andrew. Congratulations!!

Very, very pretty boat - my only worry would be that it’s difficult to see both right-side-up and up-side-down….congrats to the new owner!

This IS exciting. Especially so, considering that the Tiderace boats don’t seem to be available. (at least I haven’t heard anything)

I know! I think it’s pretty exciting too. It’s been a long time coming.

Susan, I know what you are saying. Mine is also black on the bottom and dark purple/blue and black on top. However, black is actually amazingly reflexive in the water. When wet it tends to act like a mirror. You’d be surprised how far away you can see them actually. . . Of course in low light. . your toast!

I was actually given some very high-reflective 3M tape at one point, and toyed with the idea of writing “SOS” or “PTO” on the bottom of my boat, just to give the S&R guys something to look for some dark night - gave it a little more thought, though, and realized I DIDN’T want them showing up for dinner every night I flipped the boat over on shore ;-)
