I am a SAHM with two kids. I have a disease called Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP) and I have already gone through the recommended procedures to prevent it from turning into colon cancer. FAP will turn into colon cancer and both run in my family. My mom died of colon cancer in 1996, my brother was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer in 2006 and my sister died of a weird form of FAP in 1978. So here I am in my late 20's and have pretty much beaten the odds with this disease. My children have had the genetic tests done and we will know soon if they have the mutation as well.
