I finally can get myself "Internet-ly" connected. Found a cyber cafe here, quite nice actually. Just some quick updates:
1. I was kinda low mood on the first day. It's a mixture of feeling of nervousness/ fear (after stepping into the labour room and saw the neonate resuscitation trolley), bit of uncertainty plus the depression after seeing the hostel condition. I'm still hesitating whether to put up the pics of it, but thinking maybe not coz it might affect the appetite of some..yes it's really not too good;(
2. I'm in charge of both male and female wards now. Basically I'm the boss. Hehe. But not very used to the feeling of no more "S/B XX" on top of my entry, and no HOs following my round. Haha.
3. My 2 weeks here include 4 days of tagging and 4 calls. I really need to pray for a "99.9% medical/ surgical cases + 0.1% maternity cases" call. My 1st call will be tomorrow!
4. Learn a new term here - "ee-lee". I've heard it more than ten times in my first day - "ee-lee" case, "ee-lee" symptoms etc. It's actually ILI! If you call it "I-L-I" they'll correct you! Hehe.
