Can a bout with strep throat (fever reached 102.6) accelerate hair loss or male pattern baldness?

Posted by WantsToKnow

Are there any minerals, amino acids, or vitamins that would help curb male pattern baldness or hair thinning in a 22 year old male?

There are a number of causes of hair loss common to both men and women. Some common causes of hair loss are:
- Medical treatment
- Disease or illness (strep throat, fever etc..)
- Medications (side effects)
- Zinc deficiency
- Excess Vitamin A or E
- Mechanical damage to the hair

Men can start showing signs of hair loss as early as the onset of puberty. By age 35, 35% of males are experiencing some sort of hair loss. In their lifetime, 65% of all males suffer the effects of hair loss. The majority of males suffering from hair loss have what is called Male Pattern Baldness. Here the hairline recedes and there is a "dome" at the back of the head where hair loss also occurs. It eventually looks like a horseshoe shaped ring of hair surrounding a bald spot on the top of the head.

There are ways and solutions to help curb male pattern baldness or hair thinning.  Prescription drugs, having surgery or a safe and natural ingredients alternative hair re-growth treatment.
