Is it normal not to be able to pee after STD tests? I'm a male and they swabbed my urethra.

It hurts too much when I try to urinate. This has never happened before, and it is my first STD test, so I'm concerned.

Unable to urinate is a sign of infection.

If you do not have a STD or no infection results from the testing then, no it's not normal to have this problem.

Maybe the swab procedure caused some kind of blockage in the urethra.

Check with your doctor about your concerns.
