Link Love Week Ending: California Goes Trans Fat-Free In 2010.

Posted Feb 10 2009 11:02am

According to Organic Authority, Governor Arnold Schwazenegger has signed a bill to phase out the use of Trans Fats in restaurants in 2010 and also in baked goods come 2011. This has restaurant owners angry. It’s an attempt to make restaurant eating healthy and not to wage a war on the restaurant industry.

The fact of the matter is that American eat rather unhealthy foods and not in a moderate fashion. The gorge themselves with fatty foods and it creates health problems. More health problems create higher medical rates which raises insurance rates and it’s hard enough for most people to afford Insurance, no less medical bills after co-pays and whatnot.

Trans fats are found naturally in some foods but added to others and used in the cooking process. Read more about the war on Trans Fats and also learn how you can reduce foods with additives and buy healthier groceries at Organic Authority.
