Swollen gland in groin area?

My mom's gland on her right leg in the groin area is swollen, what could this mean?  She's take bloood work and everything has come back negative two years ago.  She was on antibiotics for infection of the lymp nodes 2 years ago. Do you know why it could be swelling again?  I mean, can a gland just go bad and quit working correctly?

If the gland on her right leg in the groin area is swollen then it may mean it is a infection.
The glan went bad because of an infection before.
That's probably the problem again.
You have to find out what is causing the infection again.
