can abdonminal pain correlate with vaginal atropyhy and some bleeding?

I have moderate cramping with minimal bleeding usually a day or tWO after sex. Are these  systems of  vaGINAL ATROPHY? I am 55 and haven't had a period in five yrs. this just started a couple of months ago. I am very sexually active (in my marriage) now I fear  the after effects.  I just had a pap and all test were negative. My Dr. prescribribed estrogen cream which I am filling the script now. I have always had dryness even when I was young.
