Can you help figure this out without a lot of stupidity?

This just started within the last three weeks and has been progressively getting worse.  I work as a line cook and it is starting to interfere with my job, since my hand is constantly swollen and sore.  There is nothing different in my environment, either at home or work...no new cleaners, no new gloves (the gloves we use are latex-free as directed by the health department), nothing new in my grooming products, so can you help me figure this out?  I'm at a loss, since any kind of search I do online or in medical books keeps insisting it's hives.  There's no way it could be, since it is constantly here and as I said, I don't take any kind of medication so that's pretty much out of the question.  If I was really all that worried about it, I'd go see a doctor, but at the moment, it's more of an annoyance than anything else.
