Interesting Facts about "A Christmas Story"

Posted Jan 14 2009 7:22pm

Christmas story Yes, Christmas is over, but that doesn't mean useless trivia is unnecessary (it is unnecessary, just not because Christmas is over).  Anyway, Mental Floss listed 12 pieces of trivia about one of my favorite movies, A Christmas Story, right over here.  The Wonder Years thing didn't surprise me at all, in fact I've wondered about that.  But Flick doing adult film?  That'll take some getting used to.  I also have yet another reason to re-watch Iron Man (aside from it rocking!), I need to look for a now grown up Peter Billingsley, who was also involved in its production.  He also had a bit part in Vince Vaugh's Wild West Show, which I need to see anyway, but now with a triple-dog-dare incentive.

One thing they didn't mention, which shocks me (so I'll fill you in, trusty readers):  The house used in the movie has been restored to the movie set look, and is open to the public.  One day, when my children are old enough to truly appreciate its meaning, my family will make the pilgrimage, and pay our respects.
