Shocking

Posted Jan 22 2009 6:18pm
That's one of my newer symptoms. Shocks. Going down my arms, down my chest and stomach, and sometimes down my lower legs. Yesterday I figured out what makes them happen--moving my neck, especially bringing my head downwards towards my chest. They feel like electrical shocks/vibrations, and sometimes they are faint and subtle. Other times it's really strong and well, shocking. Looking it up on line, I found that this is called L'Hermitte's syndrome, and is often associated with MS.

The other thing that happened is last night when I was trying to fall asleep, I kept "losing" my left arm. I would all of a sudden feel like my arm was gone, my eyes would spring open and I'd look for my arm. Lo and behold, there it was, exactly where it should be, but as soon as I closed my eyes again, it was gone. Hmm.

Yesterday was an excellent day. We spent the day hitting yard/garage sales and got lots of goodies for cheap, cheap, cheap! More stuff, little money to add to our house decor of the "Great American Yard Sale." We love our house decor, love decorating, and even get compliments on it. Little do they know, almost everything is someone else's "junk".

Later on we visited my mom, had a few yummy beverages, then settled in for a night on the couch with movies. A very enjoyable, yet relaxing day.

I've been fiddling here on the laptop for a couple of hours, so now it's time to get up and at'em!
