So over dinner this evening, I was talking with my kids about manners and general behavior, and a few of the obnoxious little mannerisms I find Kyle picking up when he spends time with his stepbrother at Dad's or at daycare. I told them I thought it was like he picked up "bad seed" like a sore throat, like it was contagious. Of course Kyle asked what contagious meant, and Hayley, in effort to help clarify, offered, "Like when people have chicken pox, and they hug you, and then you get it too." A little bewildered by then, Kyle said "But Daddy hugs me all the time, and I don't get chicken puffs."
This amazing little manchild turned five this week, and it very nearly breaks my heart to think of my baby starting kindergarten in the fall.
