Ahem...anyway, this actually works out because my cheap ass doesn't even have to pay for postage because I will actually be seeing her in the flesh, this weekend. We have a playdate all set up. And by we, I mean,

I bought
this and
this for my kiddos this weekend. The first is the outside play thingy, the second is the inside play thingy. They love them both.
The weather has been absolutely beautiful here lately, but the kids are always kind of bored when I take them outside. They can only get so much fun out of bubbles and sidewalk chalk, ya know. So we picked up that little slide thingy to keep them occupied. The tunnel thingy is to keep them from getting bored on rainy days inside. It is rather large and does take up my entire living room, but it's completely collapsible which means in two weeks, I break it down and stick it in the closet. Two weeks later, when I take it out again, it's like they're seeing it for the first time. At least, I hope it works this way.

I've been using a bit of that self tanning moisturizer that's so popular now. Got it practically free from CVS so why not, right. Only on my face though...haven't been brave enough to attempt a streak-free application on my bod. Can you just picture the positions I'll have to get into to put that shit on my back?? Anyway...
I'm admiring my slightly
orange golden complexion in the mirror today...my hair is up and wrapped in a pink head scarf, my big hoop earrings are dangly and framing my face nicely, I'm feeling bohemian chic at it's best...until...I turn my head for a profile view and realize that I forget to put self tanner on my ears. D'OH!
Yep, tan face, white ears. Sooooo NOT a good look for me. Here's hoping my face fades before my playdate this weekend so the girls don't laugh at me too hard. Heh.

There was a car accident in front of my house on Saturday night. A bad one. A car actually ran into a house. I knew this would happen eventually as there is an accident at this particular spot at least once a month. And the car that is doing the hitting is always going in the same direction. Evidently, there is a blind spot when you're stopped at the stop sign there, so you dart out into traffic just in time to get t-boned by an oncoming vehicle. Nice, eh? I'm seriously considering rallying the neighborhood to petition the township for a traffic light at that intersection.
