This books is so d**n good! Once picked up, you can hardly put it down again. I started reading The Mephisto Club
at 10pm, planned to read just a few chapters and sleep at 11pm or before midnight. At the end, at 3am, I was still flipping through the book.

The next day, after sending my kids to school, I continued the book, and finished within the same day.
Before I could put this book on my side bar (under ‘Currently Reading’), I have already finished it!
This is another Tess Gerritsen’s medical thriller. She is so good in building the story and keep the suspence feeling on. At one point, I was so scared that I went downstairs to check all the doors and armed the alarm! LOL! Ya, so scared of intruders, like in the book.
Then, as I read on, I became so chilly that I kept looking at my back, for fear of someone attacking me from behind. LOL! Yes, she is that good. :p
This book started with a horrible homicide, and it took place in a house seem to be set up for some kind of religious sacrifice ritual. Following that, there were a few more deaths, and more people seem to be the target.
Gerritsen is able to base the story on some seemingly reliable source, and make the theory quite credible.
My rating: ***** (5)
