Great children's book recommendations?

Posted by Sarah_H

Have you bought any new children's books recently that you'd recommend for kids aged around 4 or 5 years old? I'll start us off by telling you about "The Pristine Pig." My daughter loves this book with it's very funny story and great illustrations. It's one of those books she doesn't get tired of me reading to her.

It's all about a pig that's trying to stay clean and the adventures he has while trying to keep out of the way of his siblings who think he should be dirty like pigs are known for. I like it's underlying message about excepting each other for who we are and not expecting everyone to be like us, or who we want them to be. It's one of the Pencil Play Pals books. Anyone read any of the others available?

Oh, I got it at pencilplaypals.com which also has a fun kid's club by the way.

Looking forward to hearing what books you'd recommend.
