Today we had one of the Guide Dogs Orientation and Mobility Instructors come for a home visit to assess Violet for their services.
Guess what...she qualified! She is going to be having home visits once a week to help her learn to develop spatial awareness, balance, depth perception etc.
If later she needs a cane for her to properly to assess these areas where she has difficulty, they can provide a cane for her, as well as the training for her to learn to use it effectively.
She is having her first session next Tuesday.
