Your Monday Photo Shoot: Body Parts
brought to you byJohn Scalzi.
Time to get up close and personal for this week’s photo shoot:Your Monday Photo Shoot: Photograph a body part. Tell us something interesting about that body part.“Body part” for these purposes can also include scars and such. Also, although I know I don’t have to remind you all about this: This is AOL. When shooting body parts, remember the Terms of Service, please.

Because timing is everything, I‘ll share with y’all an oldie but a goody…..
Hands!
I am fascinated by hands. They reveal much in a person….how they use/or don’t use those hands, strength and something some of us can manage to hide elsewhere but never with our hands….our age.. If you don’t believe me then check out the hands of people whose ages you know.
But today I want to show you the hands of a miracle….amazing hands. The hand of my son, Daniel Quinn, when he was2 months oldand weighed onlyTWO pounds. For perspective, his hand is holding onto his father’s forefinger. Don’t let the diminutive size fool you because there was amazing strength in Daniel’s hands even at his tiniest. From the very beginning, when he was only hours old and in critical condition, his little hands would reach out and grab whatever they could hold on to…..including our hearts.

Time flies when we are having fun because Daniel will be four years old this Wednesday. He has come along way from his tiny beginnings of 1 pound 6 ounces. It’s hard to believe how much our lives have changed in four short years, all because of this tiny little hand and this amazing little man.
