Have not been recording Ian’s achievements for a long time. Have to do it now, otherwise meaningless already…
Counting
A few months ago, he was already able to count till 29. Though he sometimes like to skip a few, but he is definitely able to count till 29!
Singing
He is able to sing the full song for:
- Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star
- Do Mi So
- ABCDEFG (same tune as the twinkle star)
- Are You Sleeping
- 小宝宝
- 小猪
- 造飞机
And though he cannot pronounce many of the lyrics correctly, he was able to sing most of the following songs:
- Do, Re, Mi
- London Bridge Is Falling Down
- Gelang, Si Paku Gelang
- Kookubara
- 10 Little Indian Boy
- Barney’s “I Love You” song
- 1, 2 Buckle My Shoe
- 火车快飞
- and many that I don’t know the title include Chinese and English songs!
Block Games
He likes to make his version of Twin Tower with Lego.
Also, gun, train, circle, etc with Lego and wood blocks.
With his dominos set, he made a big M and pronounced ‘McDonald’.
Picture Puzzles
Around 14 months he was already able to play VERY simple puzzles of 2 and 3 pieces. Last week (23 months), only found out that he is able to play 8-pc puzzles.
Speech
Not very strong yet, but he is now able to say full sentence when I ask him to. Like: “Mama, I want drink water, please.”
Love
Very caring. Always like to kiss people and things/toys like: bear, barney, bolster, etc. Whenever I moan in pain, he would come an kiss me. Particularly like to kiss my big tummy, coz baby is inside. He’d say ‘Baby!’ after he kisses my tummy.
Call/Acknowledge People
2 months ago, when asked him to wave at security guard, he said “I don’t want” or just ignored us.
1.5 months ago, he made Barney wave at the guard and said “Hi!”.
1 month ago, he raised his hand at the guard for a split of second, and shyly looked elsewhere.
Last 3 weeks, been happily wave his hand at the guard and said “Hi!”.
Also, last 1 month, been very cooperative when asked to call people. When I go home, without asking, he’d call ‘Mama’ already.
Helping
Used to refuse when we asked him to keep his toys. Now, he is the one wanting to keep his toys. Yesterday when he was sleeping with me and heard DH keeping his toys outside, he yell “I want to 收 (keep) Lego!”.
When I hang the laundry, he is always there to help me - fetch the clothes from washing machine, bring the hanger. 
Measurement
Hmm… didn’t take his height lately, coz didn’t go to paed. But his weight is only 13kg. When he was 1 year old, he was nearly 11kg. Didn’t gain weight much, only grow taller. So, he looks much thinner now. His weigt chart is as follow (just for record):
- Birth 3.01 kg
- 1 month 4.7 kg
- 2 months 6.4 kg
- 3 months 7.5 kg
- 4 months 7.9 kg
- 5 months 8.8 kg
- 6 months 9.5 kg
- 11 months 10.6 kg
- 13 months 11.3 kg
- 18 months 12 kg
- 23 months 13 kg
OK, what else to record? Hmm… i’m tired now. If there is anything else, next time lah!
