My little girl's sick.

Posted Mar 30 2009 3:38pm

Sadly I woke up at 4am to a little girl who was sleeping in my bed, which I had no idea she was even sleeping with me, saying I have to throw up. She was very sweet about it, she left a little trail on the carpet and sadly she kept most of it in her mouth. Man she is stronger than me! After getting her all cleaned up I read her a story and I was ready for bed again at 5am. Before I left her I told her that if she has to throw up again to do it in the sink and rinse it out. She doesn't like to do it in the toilet. I figured it's a compromise. So after we get back to sleep I dreaded waking up at 7 so I slept until 7:30, "N" got dressed quickly and ate breakfast while I took my shower. She knew she wasn't going to be able to eat or drink anything for a little while and I was surprised that she didn't throw a fit about it.

I decided that I would drop "N" at the gate in case what she has is contagious. On the way home, literally three minutes from the house she starts throwing up again. Luckily most was contained on her arm and clothes so she took a long hot shower when we got home. So now she's resting while watching Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! and just taking it easy today. I'm hoping that the throwing up isn't going to be like last year and I have to take her to the ER. I don't know if it's the flu or what it is and it's been so long since the kids have thrown up that I don't even remember how to deal with it. That's sad because when they were younger it seemed like they threw up every few months and it was no big deal but since they are older they don't do it as often. I love saying that but I also feel bad since I forget what I can and can't do for them. I guess it's good to be at a loss for that instead of having to deal with it all the time.

I was supposed to be getting stuff done around the house like packing and stuff but you know what? It'll be there still tonight so I'll do some of the stuff tonight or while she's napping. I just want her to feel good and not abandoned since she's sick. I guess this will be the only blog I'll be doing today.
