With the hike in petrol prices, shipping fees are raised till a level that is unbelievable.
Take Amazon and eBay for example. Buying things from Amazon and eBay is so cheap, I can sometimes find a deal that is unbelievable, especially if the starting bid (eBay) is low and no one ‘competes’ with you.
But then, have a look at the shipping fee… Once I was interested in Narnia Audiobooks. The book was approx USD20+, but the shipping can be as high as $40 (RM135), double the cost of the goods.
The last time I bought Ted Dekker’s books from Amazon , I paid $15 (RM50) for shipping. When I enquired the books (4 titles) from MPH, they could help ordering but with shipping it totals up to around RM70 for a paperback (usually RM35). Scary, right?
