My friend sent me this tips, and I thought it is good to share, as early detection of the signs can make a significant difference.
Usually when someone is struck with stroke, the early signs are really not visible. Until she realizes that, it would be too late - can easily cause a life, or (half) paralized.
There are 3 simple things to check whether one is struck with stroke or not. Simply take the first 3 characters of STR oke:
- Smile
- Talk/ speak a simple sentence
- Raise both arms
If the person finds difficulties to do any of these, he/she should go to the hospital immediately for early treatment. Delaying as much as 3 hours can cause a life!
Also, another ’sign’ is to ask the person to stick out his/her toungue. If it goes to one side/crooked, that is also an early sign.
Just thought of sharing before I delete the document.
Hope we never have to use this tips.
